ICT Conference

Well in the 2nd week of the holidays I spent 3 days at an ICT conference in Rotorua with Mrs Gunn and Mrs Natusch.  We had a lot of fun learning about all the new technologies and cool new ways to use ICT and some awesome websites.  I can't wait to show the class.

I made an animation with paint and PowerPoint.  I'll try upload it.  I also embedded a calendar onto our class blog so you and your families can keep an eye on what will be a very busy term.

Camp assembly

Hi team. Sorry I haven't been up to date this week. Had 2 spend some time in hospital but don't u worry I'm much better. I'm so sad tht I can't come 2 the senior assembly but I'm sure it will b amazing!! I will send the flipvid n2 school this week so u can upload some of your practices sonyou can reflect on thm before th actual performance. Also I'd love to see some vies of th assembly

I think I have added all your blogs to my blog list & they look great. I have been doin lots or reAding & artwork and goal setting which I will shRe with you guys once I get back.

What are you guys doing for the holidays. I bet u are all excited for a break from all your hard learning.

Learning logs

Hi team thanx 4 your lovely comments. It's so great 2 hear tht you are all managing yourselves & supporting each other to make good choices with your learning. Next week it would be good if you guys could start doing your trumps titles. Each trump will need two paves beside each other, just like last year,year 6s. So it may help if some if you could bring in last years learning logs as examples. All you need to do is write the title of th Trump at th top of th left page in the order of trump e.g. Thinking, relating to others, using texts languages and symbols and so on.

If you think you can try the magazine collage for each trump start with managing self. Try to find pictures of things that u manage by yourself and things that help u manage yourself with your learning.

Wednesday 30th March

Thank you for you comments!  Sounds like things are going really well keep it up guys. 

Well today has been a better day.  I have eaten more today and felt less giddy which is an improvement.  Pippi & Roko have been really good at looking after me.

I was sol lucky yesterday and got these beautiful flowers from the staff and Board of Trustees from Vardon.  Aren't they lovely!  They really brightened my day.

So how did today go?  Did you get your 20 ticks?  Hope you are all supporting Jack & Khody with their jobs as Mayors.

Hope you are all thinking about assembly ideas for your home learning.  Would love to see some of the wonderful work you've been doing on the class blog.  Maybe during one of your drawing times someone could take some pics and upload them onto the class blog?

I have also added a new part to my blog with fun websites you may want to try.  You may want to write them into your home learning book so you can have a go at them at home with your friends and family.

Hi team 12!
Hope all is going well and that you are looking after the relievers.

How is your camp work going?  I can't wait to see all your wonderful work.

Please make sure that each afternoon you are writing out your home learning and helping each other out in the mornings to get it done because that way you will all improve your spelling skills. 

This week for home learning I would really like you to think about what we should share at assembly in week 11.  It should be focused about camp but what do you want to share about camp and how do you want to share it?  Now the year 6's know that room 12 often share learning in assemblies through a show rather than just share one thing then another.  Maybe you could write a plan or a script in your home learning book and share them during a circle time at the end of the week.  You will have to help the reliever understand how the circle time works.  Maybe our assembly could be a reinactment of camp, or a game show, amazing race or a play...who knows I would love to hear all your suggestions.

I would also love to see some of your ferns posters on the class blog site.  You may need to borrow room 13's camera as I still have the class camera in my laptop bag and the flip video...sorry :)  If you ask Mrs McBeth very nicely she may help you print your posters through the photocopier so you can put them up on the wires.  remember to select A3 size & auto colour.

I am on new medication which has made me heaps better to, so fingers crossed I will be back to see your beautiful smiling faces soon!
